David Jimmerson is known for his genuine heart, kind spirit, and love for helping people. Those qualities make him a natural fit at Ellis & Company Retirement Strategists. David graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was deeply involved on campus and excelled academically. He earned Dean’s List honors for seven semesters, was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society and Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society, and was an active member of UTC’s Criminal Justice Club. It was also at UTC that David met his wife, Sara. They were married on September 5, 2015, and through their careers have lived in Memphis, Phoenix, and now call Clarksville home. Together they have three children—daughter Ellie and sons Danny and Jack.
David joined Ellis & Company in January of 2020 after working with Raymond James’ regional office in Memphis, where he served as an Operations Supervisor. He brings nearly a decade of experience in financial services and a unique perspective shaped by his time in operations and retirement services. Before Raymond James, David worked at MassMutual, first as a retirement specialist and later as a Director in the Retirement Services department.
Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, David is a loyal Tennessee Volunteers football fan every fall. He loves being outdoors and staying active through hiking, swimming, and enjoying fresh air whenever he can. He also enjoys visiting museums, creative writing, and traveling to new places with his family.
